Sitges – Costa Dorada

20 miles south of Barcelona, you’ll find Sitges' beautiful beaches and peaceful mountains. The Catalan wealthy made it a fashionable resort at the turn of the 19th-20th century. At the same time, Modernist artist Santiago Rusinyol discovered its charms and attracted a colony of Modernist artists and intellectuals to his house there, now the Museum Cau Ferrat. Sitges has wisely preserved its Modernist past in the streets and buildings of the old quarter, and the charm of this seaside town remains intact. You can start you tour with a waterfront promenade where you will find century mansions, enter the old quarter and find Palau Maricel. Approach Cau Ferrat (Santiago Russinyol's house, currently closed for restoration) and end your tour in Sant Sebastià Beach, you must know that Sitges is also perfect for a day at the beach.
Opening times: (The Museu Cau Ferrat is currently closed due the restoration and refurnishing project of the building. Sorry for any inconvenience) Tuesday to Friday, 9.30 am to 2 pm and 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm - Sunday and Bank Holidays, 10 am to 3 pm
